A -) Driver's License & Age Drivers must have a valid domestic or international driver's license for at least two years and must be at least 22 years old.
To rent a car from our company, you need to have a credit card in your name (Visa - MasterCard - American Express).
Traffic fines in our country are sent to us by the traffic police department approximately 3 to 4 weeks later. We need to block an amount of €590 on the credit cards of our customers for passenger cars and €890 for minivans and SUVs. This block will be automatically removed by our bank within 3 to 4 weeks.
B-) Minimum Rental Period The minimum rental period is 2 days.
C-) Included/Excluded in Prices Included in prices: Unlimited mileage, third-party insurance (within legal limits), collision damage waiver (CDW), theft insurance, 18% VAT, local taxes, oil, maintenance, 24-hour roadside assistance.
Not included in prices: Fuel, one-way rental fee (where applicable), optional extra services (additional drivers, baby and child seats, navigation device, equipment, optional insurances), parking fees, toll fees, delivery and return fees outside office/airport boundaries.
D-) Payment & Deposit Terms To guarantee vehicle reservation and price, a prepayment of at least 20% of the total rental fee may be requested at the time of reservation, and the remaining balance is paid upon vehicle delivery. Payment can be made with Visa/MasterCard credit cards or in cash with international currencies. Payments with credit cards can only be made in the local currency, TL.
At the start of the rental, a deposit is required: To rent a car from our company, you must have a Visa or Mastercard valid for at least 6 months. The numbers of your credit card will be written on the rental contract, and a copy of the contract will be given to you. The reason for writing the credit card number on the contract is to collect any potential traffic, parking, bridge, or toll fines that may arise later. No extra charges will be applied other than this.
E-) Insurance Information Third-Party (Traffic) Insurance: Covers the material and moral damages caused to third parties, other vehicles, and properties by the renting driver with the rented vehicle, within the valid limits of traffic insurance. Damages exceeding the legally specified limits are the responsibility of the renter.
F-) Collision Damage Waiver (CDW): Covers the damages to the rented vehicle resulting from a collision, provided that our company is informed at the time of damage and the necessary alcohol and traffic reports are delivered to our office within 48 hours from the moment of the damage. Depending on the rented vehicle group, the first 100$ of the damage is within the insurance deductible and is the responsibility of the renter. The CDW does not cover mechanical failures due to misuse, loss of keys, loss of spare tire/tools/license plate/hubcap/wiper/antenna, wrong fuel filling, battery expenses resulting from leaving lights or radio/CD player on, tire bursts, glass and headlight breakages, theft, loss or damage of child seats, navigation devices, radios/CD players, or cleaning costs for excessively dirty returned vehicles, or cigarette/seat burns.
G-) Theft Insurance: Covers the vehicle value, minus the insurance deductible (100$ depending on the vehicle group), in case the vehicle is forcibly stolen while parked, and the theft report is obtained from the nearest police/gendarmerie station and notified to our company within 24 hours. The vehicle key must be returned to our company; otherwise, the theft insurance is invalid. If the key is given to a third party or lost by the renter and the vehicle is stolen with the key, the theft insurance considers it embezzlement, and the vehicle value is paid by the renter.
H-) Tire, Glass, Headlight (TGH) Insurance: Covers tire bursts, glass and headlight breakages occurring in non-accident situations by purchasing optional TGH insurance for an additional fee.
I-) Personal Accident Insurance: Covers the medical expenses of the passengers in the rented vehicle within the limits specified in the vehicle's insurance policy. This insurance may not be available at all offices or may be purchased for an additional fee.
J-) Important Notes: For the insurance to be valid, the driver must not be under the influence of alcohol or any drugs at the time of the accident, must not exceed legal speed limits, must not use the vehicle off-road, must obtain traffic and alcohol reports at the time of the accident and deliver them to our nearest office within 48 hours, must not let anyone not named in the rental agreement drive the vehicle, must not carry loads beyond the limits specified in the vehicle registration, must not abandon the vehicle at the accident scene and must notify the nearest office. If damage is noticed upon vehicle return and the necessary reports were not obtained at the time of damage, the insurance is invalid, and the damage will not be covered by the insurance based on declaration.
K-) Additional Drivers Rental vehicles can be used by two additional drivers other than the renter. Additional drivers must be registered in the contract at the start of the rental. An additional fee is charged for additional drivers, which can be purchased during reservation or at the start of the rental. Additional drivers must meet the license and age criteria at the start of the rental. If an unregistered driver has an accident, the insurance will be invalid.
L-) Child Seat/Navigation Device/Snow Chains If requested at the time of reservation, you can rent child seats, navigation devices, snow chains, etc., for an additional fee. If not requested during your reservation but requested at vehicle delivery, equipment will be provided if available.
M-) Flight Information In rentals with airport delivery and return, it is the customer's responsibility to provide correct flight information and times during reservation. If flight information is not available at the time of reservation, it must be provided at least 24 hours before vehicle delivery. Otherwise, our company will not be responsible for any problems arising from untimely or changed flight information and will not pay any fees. Providing flight information in advance ensures that our personnel can meet you on time at the airport arrival and departure.
N-) Vehicle Delivery & Return Conditions You can deliver/return the rental vehicle in cities, at our office or your address, or at airports. You can pick up and drop off the vehicle at Prive Rent a Car offices or contact offices. If you want to drop off the vehicle at a different office from where you picked it up, an extra one-way road fee will be charged. Our website calculates these fees automatically.
O-) One-Way Rental You can pick up and drop off the vehicle at Prive Rent a Car offices or contact offices. If you want to drop off the vehicle at a different office from where you picked it up, an extra one-way road fee will be charged. Our website calculates these fees automatically.
P-) Vehicle Group/Model Specific car models and brands cannot be guaranteed. The desired group and features are guaranteed (e.g., A, A/C, manual). Prive Rent a Car reserves the right to replace the vehicle with an equivalent or higher group vehicle due to circumstances beyond its control (such as the previous customer returning the vehicle late or damaged, technical failure, force majeure, etc.).
R-) Late/Early Return Late Return: If the vehicle is returned later than the time specified in the contract, no extra fee is charged for delays up to 59 minutes if notified in advance and approved by us. For delays of 60 minutes or more, an additional fee of 1/3 of the daily rental rate per hour is charged. For delays of 3 hours or more, an extra day's rental fee is charged. The renter cannot return the vehicle late without notification and cannot extend the rental period without the approval of the relevant office. Prive Rent a Car reserves the right not to approve the rental extension if it needs to prepare the vehicle for the next reservation.
Early Return: No refund is made for rental vehicles returned earlier than the return time specified in the rental contract.
S-) Vehicle Condition The vehicle must be returned in the condition it was delivered, with the license, plate, and equipment intact. If cleaning that requires more than a standard wash, requiring car detailing is needed, a cleaning fee will be charged at the return.
T-) Fuel Policy Vehicles are not rented with a full tank. The fuel level at the start of the rental must be the same as at the return. The difference for returned vehicles with less fuel will be charged at the return. Please purchase fuel according to your needs, as no refund is made for vehicles returned with excess fuel.
U-) Traffic Fines Traffic fines (including those from surveillance cameras) and toll/bridge/parking fees incurred during the rental period are the renter's responsibility. If these fines are not paid on time, they will be notified to our head office as the vehicle owner by the traffic/tax office, and the fines, including any interest and service charges, will be collected from you even after the rental period has ended. Please pay fines on time to avoid additional interest and fees.
V-) Cancellation Policy If you cancel your reservation 7 days before the arrival date, the amount you paid will be refunded.
